Pennsylvania State Police say that around 2:40 a.m., Justin Gehlert of Warminster attempted to exchange a suspected counterfeit $100 bill at Parx Casino.
A casino employee in the “main cage” notified security, and Gehlert was taken to the State Police office. Once there, Troopers say it was discovered that Gehlert had 33 counterfeit $100 bills.
Gehlert was charged with 33 felony counts of forgery and 33 misdemeanors for possession of an instrument of crime with intent.
Gehlert was arraigned on Friday morning and is scheduled for a preliminary hearing next month. He was taken to the Bucks County Main Correctional Facility, and the counterfeit bills were sent to the U.S. Secret Service.
