JACKSON, Miss. (WJTV) – Due to the possibility of severe weather from March 14-15, officials announced safe rooms have opened across Mississippi ahead of the storms.
According to the Mississippi Emergency Management Agency (MEMA), the following shelters have opened:
Adams County
- Adams County Safe Room – 323 Liberty Road, Natchez, MS
Claiborne County
- Claiborne County Safe Room – 13004 Hwy 18, Hermanville, MS
Coahoma County
- Coahoma County Safe Room – 3240 Friars Point Road, Clarksdale, MS
Copiah County (Opens at 8:00 a.m. Saturday 3/15/25)
- Joe L Johnson Safe Room – 1060 Epps Lane, Hazlehurst, MS 39083
Desoto County – (Opens at 7:00 p.m. 3/14/25)
