BIG COUNTRY, Texas (KTAB/KRBC) – A cold front will sweep into the Big Country early Friday morning, March 14, bringing dust and powerful winds.
According to KTAB Chief Meteorologist Sam Nichols, wind gusts are expected to reach 50-60 mph, with the potential to hit 70 mph.
The region will remain extremely dry, with relative humidity dropping as low as 9%. Like much of Texas, the Big Country faces critical fire danger.
With these dangerous conditions, a High Wind Warning and a Red Flag Warning have been issued for nearly the entire Big Country beginning at 7:00 a.m. Friday.
