Scot Stockwell, who has been on administrative leave since Nov. 2024 following the arrests of a current and former teacher at St. Helens High School officially resigned on Wednesday night.
The district announced Stockwell’s resignation in a message to parents.
“Superintendent Scot Stockwell and the St. Helens School District have agreed to part ways, recognizing this decision is in the best interest of both parties. The District thanks the Superintendent for his service and wishes him well in his future endeavors,” the district said.
Stockwell, along with St. Helens Principal Katy Wagner have been accused of failing to report the sexual abuse — Wagner is currently facing criminal mistreatment charges.
