Snyder teen ejected, killed in Scurry County crash

SNYDER, Texas (KTAB/KRBC) – A Snyder teen was ejected and killed during a crash in Scurry County early Thursday morning.

Norberto Cardona Cruz, 19, of Snyder, was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash on Brick Plant Road just north of Hwy 208 around 3:45 a.m., according to a crash report from the Texas Department of Public Safety.

The report states Cruz was traveling north of Brick Plant Road when the he lost control, went off the road and struck a telephone pole, causing him to be ejected from his vehicle upon impact.

Cruz was not wearing a seatbelt during the crash, according to the report.
