Pedestrian killed in Gentilly hit-and-run: NOPD

NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) — A pedestrian is dead following a reported hit-and-run that happened in the Gentilly neighborhood of New Orleans on Thursday night, March 13.

According to the New Orleans Police Department, the incident, which happened at the intersection of Elysian Fields Avenue and Caton Street, was reported at 8 p.m.

The initial report shows that an adult woman was pronounced dead on scene. Gentilly Boulevard eastbound at Elysian Fields and Elysian Fields southbound at Gentilly Boulevard are both closed.
