Dixon police say shooting appears to be isolated and drug-related incident

DIXON, Ill. (WTVO) — Dixon Police say a shooting that occurred Thursday night appears to be “isolated and drug-related.”

Police reported that officers responded to the 1000 block of West Fourth Street around 8:55 p.m. after shots were fired in the area.

The responding officers did not locate anyone at the scene, but were able to find evidence of a shooting. No one was injured, police said.

Investigators are “actively pursuing a number of leads,” authorities said.
