CHARENTON, La. (KLFY) — Cypress Bayou Casino Hotel is warning of scammers trying to get people to download a bogus casino-breanded app.

In a post on the resort’s Facebook page, the scam reportedly tries to entice customers to join and receive online coins, bitcoins and gaming credits.

Photos of the bogus app posted by the casino show offers of $1,500 in bonuses and 150 free spins, and a 300% deposit match as a bonus for joining.

“The (authentic) Cypress Bayou Casino Hotel app is used by our members to check their comps, offers and promotions,” the post reads. “That’s it!”
