Victim in deadly Lincoln County crash ejected from seat, rolled down 300-foot embankment

PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — A 42-year-old Corvallis woman died in a single-car crash in Lincoln County on Monday, Oregon State Police announced.

The crash took place on Hwy 34 near milepost 27 just after 4:30 p.m.

“The preliminary investigation indicated an eastbound Honda Civic, operated by Brandy Amber Damm-Winningham (42) of Corvallis, lost control, left the roadway and rolled approximately 300 feet down a steep embankment. The operater was ejected from the vehicle during the roll event,” OSP said.

Damm-Winningham was declared dead at the scene. OSP say she was likely not wearing her seatbelt.

A passenger in the Honda was taken to an area hospital with minor injuries.
