UPDATE: Silver Alert inactivated for Salem woman

UPDATE: As of 8:50 am Wednesday morning, the Silver Alert issued for 79-year-old Virginia Clem of Salem has been inactivated.

A Silver Alert has been requested by the Salem Police Department for a missing woman reported to have early-onset dementia. Seventy-nine-year-old Virginia Clem went missing around 6 Tuesday evening.

According to the Arkansas State Police, Clem is described as a 5-foot-4 white female weighing 215 pounds with short-length grey hair, blue eyes and a light complexion. She was last known to be at 6810 U.S. Highway 62 West between Viola and Salem. Clem may be traveling in a gold 2007 Buick Lucerne with the Arkansas license plate number AYI25I.
