Investigation underway after 4-year-old girl falls from 10th floor on South Side

CHICAGO — An investigation is underway after a 4-year-old girl fell from the 10th floor of a building on the city’s South Side.

The incident happened around 10:50 a.m. Tuesday on the 4500 block of South Drexel Boulevard in the Bronzeville neighborhood.

According to police, the girl sustained a head injury and was transported to Comer Children’s Hospital in fair condition.

Further details have not been provided by police.

The Department of Children and Family Services (DCFS) is investigating.
