Property owner Joseph Marino is petitioning the Rockford Zoning Board of Appeals for a zoning map amendment to build eight residences, each with eight units, on vacant land located from 4620 to 4680 Ashby Trail.
The applicant is proposing changing the zoning map from a C-2 Limited Commercial Zoning District to an R-3 Multi-Family Residential District to facilitate the construction of the new apartments.
Elmhurst-based architectural firm Curatolo & Associates was hired to design two-story structures with Hardy Board siding.
The proposal will be heard at the Zoning Board of Appeals meeting on Tuesday, March 18th.
