Suspect in Mamou shooting also wanted in connection with previous shooting

CONROE, Texas (KLFY) — The suspect in the mass shooting that occurred on Mardi Gras in Mamou is subject to arrest warrants in St. Martin Parish, authorities said.

Trea’land Ty’rell Castille, 19, is awaiting extradition to Evangeline Parish for arraignment on charges in connection with the Mardi Gras shooting.

The St. Martin Parish warrants, in connection with a shooting Jan. 7, include six counts of aggravated property damage and six counts of aggravated assault with a firearm.

He is charged with charged with two counts of first-degree murder, ten counts of attempted second-degree murder and five counts of aggravated assault with a firearm in connection with the Mamou shooting.

Castille was found hiding at an apartment complex in South Montgomery County, Texas and is being held there pending extradition.
