Louisiana attorney general attending court hearing in TikTok lawsuit

BATON ROUGE, La. (Louisiana First) — Louisiana Attorney General Liz Murrill is set to attend a court hearing in the state’s lawsuit against TikTok on Wednesday, March 12.

The hearing is scheduled for 11 a.m. at the 21st Judicial District Court in Livingston Parish.

On Tuesday, Murrill posted on X, “TikTok thinks they can’t get sued here – they can. I’ll see them in court tomorrow.”

The Louisiana Attorney General’s Office filed the lawsuit in 2024, accusing TikTok of violating the state’s consumer protection laws.
