Residents across Abilene reported hearing what sounded like an explosion around 10:30 a.m. Some residents even felt their homes shake.
Dyess AFB officials confirmed they are doing EOD training on base property, and that’s what caused the noise.
KTAB and KRBC are waiting for additional information regarding how long training will be taking place and if residents can expect to hear more loud noises or see smoke in the area.
