ASUMH introducing engineering and STEM focused classes starting in fall

ASU-Mountain Home (ASUMH) continues to expand opportunities for students entering STEM-focused programs. Beginning in the fall, students, especially those wishing to enter an engineering program, will have more class options.

The new classes will give engineering students a head start on their degree before transferring to a four-year institution, allowing them to benefit from ASUMH’s lower tuition and experienced instructors.

Dr. Robert Shurley, the Dean of Business, Arts and Sciences at ASUMH, says this is the first time the school is able to serve the needs of incoming engineering students.

While engineering is the main focus of these new classes, Dr. Shurley shares how other students will also benefit.

An expert in the field, Jessica Clanton will serve as advisor for the program.

Some of the new classes being offered in the fall include Calculus 2 and 3, Physics Based Calculus 1 and 2 and Intro to Engineering.
