Owensboro police find over 5,000 fentanyl pills during shots fired call
HENDERSON, Ky. (WEHT) — 3 people are in custody after police say they discovered over 5,000 fentanyl pills during a shots fired call in Owensboro.

According to the Owensboro Police Department, officers responded to the 1700 block of Alexander Avenue where they say 20-year-old Max Bellamy “negligently” fired a gun in the home.

During the investigation, police say they found evidence of suspected drug activity and a search warrant of the home led to the discovery of over 5,000 fentanyl pills along with methamphetamine.

21-year-old Justin Bellamy and 20-year-old Blane Noffsinger were arrested in connection to the drug investigation.

The three suspects were charged with the following:

  • 20-year-old Max Bellamy of Owensboro
    • Discharging Weapon
    • Two counts of trafficking a controlled substance
    • Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
  • 21-year-old Justin Bellamy of Owensboro
    • Trafficking Controlled Substance, 1st off (Fentanyl Derivatives)
    • Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
  • 20-year-old Blane Noffsinger of Owensboro
    • Two counts of trafficking a controlled substance
    • Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
