“This new addition aligns with our values: that the parents and community of Rapides Parish will support the success of all students,” said Superintendent Jeff Powell. “Learning is now more comfortable and efficient for the third, fourth, and fifth graders at D.F. Huddle Elementary. We are grateful for the support of our community in making this vision a reality.”
The newly constructed wing features modern classrooms, a conference room, and additional student restrooms. School officials say these improvements are designed to foster collaboration, creativity, and a strong academic foundation.
“We are grateful to have these classrooms. All of our students are now in one building, and it makes the progression from third to fifth grade more seamless for students,” said Principal Belonda Howard-Davis. “This addition will have a lasting impact on our students and teachers for years to come.”
The expansion reflects the district’s commitment to academic excellence and providing students with an optimal learning environment.
