In the calls, a suspect was described as a white male, approximately 35 years old, with a bushy beard and slicked black hair. The suspect was allegedly seen driving a white 1999-2000 GMC or Chevy van with red lettering on the side.

We’re told the child was found by an officer not far from the original address.

Officers say two 911 calls came in regarding the reported abduction. We’re told the original caller contacted the family of the child, leading to the second report.

Police say the family had a “reasonable reaction based on what they were told.”

HPD says they are in contact with the original caller to determine what exactly they saw that led them to believe an abduction took place. We’re told no criminal charges have been filed in this incident.
