CHICAGO — Friday’s damp, dreary, and occasionally snowy weather is about to become a distant memory.

Sunshine returns this weekend and the temperature rebound will be noticeable with highs reaching the upper 40s Saturday, and middle 50s by Sunday.

Total ultraviolet intensity at peak time (between noon and 1pm) is more than 4-times stronger than the shortest day back in December. 

Chicagoland will see mostly sunny skies on Saturday as temperatures gradually begin to climb after a brief round of winter weather arrived toward the end of the workweek.

Don’t forget, Daylight Saving Time begins at 2 a.m. on Sunday morning. So be sure to turn your clocks ahead one hour before going to bed.
