JONES COUNTY, Miss. (WHLT) – A few homes in Jones County were damaged after a stormed moved through the area on Saturday, March 8.

Many trees were also knocked down across the southern end of the county, according to the Jones County Fire Council.

Multiple volunteers firefighters helped clear the roads and assist citizens Saturday night. Officials said a crash occurred on Highway 11 during the storm. Three people sustained what appeared to be minor injuries.
