The 27-year-old was returning from Home Depot with plumbing supplies for a job when he was shot while driving through the intersection in the 4600 block of Fairfields Avenue. He had been working for a man with dementia at the time of his death.
He had recently completed his studies at ITI Technical College, where he earned an associate’s degree in Drafting and Design Technology and was set to graduate at the top of his class. His sister Alissa accepted the diploma on his behalf during the ceremony.
“He was a hard worker, a smart kid, a shining star that’s been extinguished now by pure evil and hatred,” his father, Travis, told Louisiana First News.
Police have no suspects or motive in the shooting, and the investigation is ongoing. The Harrison family is asking anyone with information to come forward or contact Crime Stoppers at 225-344-STOP.
