Ohio County main break repair expected to take over a week

HENDERSON, Ky. (WEHT) — After a main break left nearly 2,200 customers were left without water in Ohio County, officials say it could take up to 10 days for a repair to complete.

As previously reported, a main break happened underneath the William Natcher Parkway on Thursday, affecting customers by the Olaton and Windy Hill water tanks.

Ohio County Water District took to social media to further update customers on the conditions.

Officials say a specialized contractor estimated the work on the issue will take 7 to 10 days to fully complete.

We’re told crews are planning to run a temporary line along the shoulder of Cromwell Road to be completed by the end of the day on Tuesday.

On Friday, utility officials spent part of the day handing out cases of water to affected customers.
