Body found inside RV following ‘suspicious’ fire in Le Grand

LE GRAND, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) – A deceased person was discovered inside an RV following a ‘suspicious’ fire late Friday night, the Merced County Sheriff’s Office says.

Deputies were dispatched to a report of a fire just before 11:30 p.m., in the 3800 block of Washington Avenue.

They say they arrived to find a fully-engulfed RV on the property.

After the blaze was extinguished, first responders say that’s when they discovered a body inside.

MCSO detectives, along with Merced County Fire’s arson investigation team, are actively investigating the incident.
