Lt. Cameron Roden with Utah Highway Patrol told ABC4.com the crash happened when a black sedan was entering State Route 201 from I-215 when it lost control and crashed into the bus.
The passenger, who has not been identified, was ejected from the bus through a window and suffered serious injuries.
Roden said a third car was also involved in the crash but only received minor damage.
The crash shut down all eastbound lanes on State Route 201 as well as the entry ramp from southbound I-215. Roden said the closures are expected to last until about 1:30 p.m. while crews work to clear the scene.
