After winning the 2022 state championship, Hannan’s next two postseason runs ended in the quarterfinals, and an eight-point, first-half deficit began to tell the same tell. The Terriers also took a double-digit lead in the third quarter, but the Hawks shrunk the gap to one-point, after outscoring Vandebilt 16-9 in the third.
Hannan kept the momentum going in the fourth and outscored the Terriers 21-13. Senior Drew Timmons finished with a team-high 25 points.
Archbishop Hannan beat Vandebilt Catholic 59-52 and will face No. 3 Peabody in the semifinals.
