INDEPENDENCE, La. (WGNO) — Matt Spitale is the man with the right prescription.
Pharmacist paints the town & poster for independence sicilian heritage festival 3
You’ll find him behind the counter at Pete’s Pharmacy, about an hour north of New Orleans, in the town of Independence.
In addition to his work WGNO Good Morning New Orleans reporter Bill Wood finds that Spitale is also dad to his eight kids, from ages 2 to 18.
When he’s not being dad and he’s off work, Matt moves to a corner in the back of the store.
That’s where he picks up his paintbrush.
The pharmacist, you see, is also the artist, and the winner of the Independence Sicilian Heritage Festival poster contest.
