Pascagoula police arrest man for allegedly killing his parents

PASCAGOULA, Miss. (WJTV) – Pascagoula police arrested a man after allegedly killed his parents.

WXXV reported the double homicide occurred at a home on Krebs Avenue around 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday, March 5.

When officers arrived at the location, they said Darold Payne ran into his home and barricaded himself inside. After trying to negotiate with Payne, police said tear gas was deployed into the home, and Payne was arrested without further incident.

The victims were identified as Harold Payne, 86, and Jittuan Payne, 72. According to the Jackson County coroner, the victims died from blunt force trauma.
