Huntington upsets top-seeded John Curtis in the girl’s Division I Select semi-final round

HAMMOND, La. — No. 4 Huntington defeated No. 1 John Curtis, 61-59 in the girl’s basketball Division I Select semi-final round Thursday at Southeastern Louisiana University.

Imani Daniel led the Patriots with 21 points and fouled out with three minutes left in regulation. Carley Hamilton led the Raiders with a game-high 27 points.

Kyndal Graham added 16 including the two free throws that gave Huntington the upset win.
