Emergency crews battle fire in Ravenswood

CHICAGO — Emergency crews were called to the scene of a fire that erupted on the city’s Noth Side on Thursday afternoon.

The blaze broke out in a building in the 5100 block of North Oakley Avenue in Ravenswood.

SkyCam9 was over the scene at around 5:20 p.m. when smoke could be seen billowing from the building’s roof as crews worked to control the blaze.

Currently, it is unclear what sparked the blaze or if anyone was injured, but crews could be seen providing medical aid to at least one person on the scene.
