Portland police identify victim of Piedmont shooting, no arrests made

PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — The man killed during a shooting in Piedmont neighborhood of Northeast Portland on Monday has been identified by police.

Authorities said Brandon J. Sotelo, 29, had bullet wounds when officers arrived at the scene near 8100 NE Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd. just before 11:10 p.m. 

Sotelo was taken to a nearby hospital, where he died. A medical examiner has determined that his death was a homicide by gunshot wound.

Details of what led to the shooting are unclear. No arrests have been reported.
