Lafayette Renaissance Charter High mourns student Alaya Christian
LAFAYETTE, La. (KLFY) — Lafayette Renaissance Charter High School mourns the loss of Alaya Christian, a dedicated student who was one of the victims of the Mamou’s Mardi Gras mass shooting.
“Her impact on our school was immeasurable, and she will be deeply missed.” stated Lafayette Renaissance Charter High School.
The high school states that Christian was not only a dedicated student but also a member of numerous clubs and organizations such as the softball team, student council and worked as a football trainer.
The school community is heartbroken by this loss and send their condolences to Christian’s family and friends during this difficult time.
