Disturbance #1: Next week’s first disturbance will move across the middle of the country on Wednesday. A few thunderstorms will be possible but models are split on the extent of our rain chances here in the ArkLaTex. If this system does track far enough to the south, a low-end severe weather threat will be possible.
Disturbance #2: It still appears that another large upper-level low will develop across the middle of the country by the end of next week. It appears that our best chance for storms from this system will be next Friday or Friday night. Temperatures next Friday could be in the 80s and it will also be rather windy once again with an ample supply of fuel available for storms. Given the ‘negative’ configuration of the upper-level system, all forms of severe weather could be possible. The big question will be where and when the storms that day develop.
10-Day Forecast: Your 10-day forecast shows that once Tuesday’s storms blow through the area, we will see dry weather through Friday. Highs most days this week will be in the 60s. We will warm into the 70s on Friday thanks to a breezy southwesterly wind. The weekend will begin with a chance of rain on Saturday. Sunshine will return on Sunday and continue through most of next week. It also looks rather warm next week with highs returning to the 70s with some low 80s possible. Overnight lows will mainly be in the 40s and 50s.
