Tuberville said he will do what he believes is best for the people of Alabama.
The senator said he’s learned a lot during his time in Congress. Tuberville previously said he would be running for re-election for his Senate.
Tuberville, who was elected in 2020 after defeating incumbent Doug Jones, confirmed to CNN’s Manu Raju in November he would be running for the office again in 2026.
“Yeah, I’m running,” Tuberville said. “Yeah, I’m getting on up there. I don’t know how many more times I’ll run, but I enjoy it.”
Tuberville was the head coach of the Auburn Tigers from 1999-08.
The next election for the Alabama governor’s seat and Tuberville’s Senate seat is November 3, 2026.
