Man dies after losing control, crashing motorcycle in Ogden

OGDEN, Utah (ABC4) — A motorcyclist died from his injuries after reportedly losing control of his motorcycle and crashing, according to the Ogden Police Department.

The motorcyclist — identified as a 58-year-old man — was traveling “at a high rate of speed” around 4000 Airport Road just before 1 p.m. on Tuesday. He was riding a 2012 Harley Davidson motorcycle, but lost control and left the road, Lt. William Farr with Ogden PD said.

Officials said the motorcyclist received “significant injuries” and was taken to a local hospital after first responders administered aid to him.

“Unfortunately, he succumbed to injuries sustained in the crash,” Farr said in a press release. “No other vehicles or subjects were involved.”

The road was expected to be closed for about two hours while the incident was being investigated by the Weber Morgan CRASH Team.

There is no further information at this time.
