Rascal Flatts to headline 2025 Stadium of Fire

PROVO, Utah (ABC4) — Rascal Flatts will be headlining the 2025 Stadium of Fire event, as the band celebrates 25 years in music on its reunion tour.

The Stadium of Fire event will be held on July 4, 2025, at the LaVell Edwards Stadium in Provo, Utah. Tickets will be available to the public starting March 7, and can be purchased from the Stadium of Fire website or the BYU ticketing website.

The band — made up of Gary LeVox on vocals, Joe Don Rooney on guitar, and Jay DeMarcus on multiple instruments — is known for hits like “Life Is a Highway,” “Bless The Broken Road,” “Prayin’ For Daylight,” and more.

“I literally could not count how many times over the years I have been asked about Rascal Flatts coming to Stadium of Fire,” Jim Evans, the executive director of America’s Freedom Festival, said. “And I have wanted them here too! Finally the stars have aligned and they are coming to Provo!”

Rascal Flatts was founded in 2000, and has sold more than 23.4 million albums. The band is said to be one of the most awarded country groups of the past decade, having earned more than 40 trophies from various groups, including CMA and People’s Choice.

The annual Stadium of Fire event will feature “the nation’s largest stadium fireworks spectacle,” as well as a jet flyover and drone show, among other events and activities. This will be Rascal Flatts’ first time headlining the Stadium of Fire.

Last year, a malfunction led to fireworks being launched into the crowd at the start of the Stadium of Fire event, injuring several people and delaying the headline performance. Officials said 22 of the 36 fireworks tubes did not function properly.

In February 2025, the Provo fire marshal revealed the issue was caused by an internal malfunction with the fireworks tubes, and not by mishandling of the devices. The fire marshal went on to say that those types of fireworks will no longer be used during future Stadium of Fire events under his watch.
