A new cookie shop has opened in south Sioux Falls.
Mary’s Mountain Cookies started selling its treats Saturday from a second location in the city. The new bakery is at 6004 S. Cliff Avenue. in a retail center north of 69th Street.
The business is licensed locally by Becky and Dave McElroy.
Because the site most recently was Cookie Co., the space easily fit their business model and allowed them to duplicate what they opened three years ago in downtown Sioux Falls along the boardwalk at The Cascade at Falls Park, 701 N. Phillips Ave.
The new location offers almost two dozen flavors of cookies, including seasonal features, plus hand-scooped ice cream, cookie ice cream sandwiches and decorated cookie cakes.
Seasonal varieties are available for the opening, including Key Lime, Lucky Treasure and Andes Dandies. The standing offer to get two free when you buy six applies at the new store too.
The McElroys also plan to continue operating their “cookie bus” for both public and private events.
Hours for the new location will be the same as downtown: 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Friday and Saturday, and 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday.
