Man found shot, killed in Hollygrove: NOPD

NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) — The New Orleans Police Department is investigating a fatal shooting in the Hollygrove neighborhood.

According to the NOPD, around 10:32 a.m. on Tuesday, March 4, officers were called to the 2800 block of Monticello Avenue.

Upon arrival, a man was found suffering with a gunshot wound. He was pronounced dead on the scene.

No further details are available at this time.

The NOPD is in the process of gathering evidence and information to determine a possible suspect and motive.

The Orleans Parish Coroner’s Office will release the man’s identity after an autopsy is done and the family is notified.
