Kurt Russell, Kevin Costner among big names set to play in Pro-Am ahead of Myrtle Beach Classic

MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. (WBTW) — Famous Hollywood actors Kurt Russell and Kevin Costner are among big names set to participate in the Pro-Am ahead of the second annual Myrtle Beach Classic in May.

The May 7th Pro-Am is set to take place on Wednesday, a day before the Myrtle Beach Classic begins. Event officials are “hopeful” that Jason Aldean, Jon Hamm, and Bill Murray will participate as well.

The May 8th-11th tournament on the Grand Strand is one of 36 PGA events. 1,500 people have already signed up to volunteer.

The tournament will feature 132 golfers competing for a $4 million purse. The winner will receive just shy of $800,000.

Soulful Sound is set to perform during a concert on Thursday, while Tyler Hubbard, formerly of Florida Georgia Line, is set to perform that Saturday night.
