Escaped inmate found hiding under pile of clothes after escaping from reentry facility

Escaped inmate Keith Freeman has been captured after he escaped from the Kintock Group, reentry service facility on February 23.

Freeman escaped from the Kintock Group, reentry service facility on 600 E. Luzerne Street where he was finishing the remainder of his 96-month sentence for weapons possession, prior to his escape.

Nearly 10 days later, the U.S. Marshals Eastern Pennsylvania Violent Crimes Fugitive Task Force arrested 30-year-old Keith Freeman on the 2400 block of Nicholas Street in North Philadelphia.

Marshals said, “after a dispute with a staff member, Freeman climbed over two fences and fled from the facility.”

At 8 a.m. on March 4, Marshals surrounded the residence on Nicholas Street where Freeman was located hiding under a pile of clothes in the living room.

Freeman was immediately taken into custody without incident and transported to the Federal Detention Center (FDC) in Philadelphia to serve the remaining time of his sentence.

“After an extensive investigation, Keith Freeman has been placed back into federal custody without incident. With this arrest, our task force has again demonstrated its excellence in apprehending escaped prisoners,” said Robert Clark, Supervisory Deputy for the Eastern Pennsylvania Violent Crime Fugitive Task Force.
