By rssfeeds-admin PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — Stormy weather on the Oregon coast brought a towering tree crashing down onto a Lincoln City Police Cruiser traveling north on Highway 101 on Feb. 22.
The moment was captured on the officer’s dashcam. The video shows the tree collapse directly into the officer’s front windshield, causing significant damage to the cruiser. The officers suffered minor injuries in the crash.
“We are thankful there were no [serious] injuries to anyone involved and would like to remind everyone to drive safely and cautiously during storms, especially in forested areas,” LCPD said.
The downed tree also hit a second oncoming car. The other car received minor damages from the crash.
