Heather Teague went missing on August 26, 1995, at Henderson’s Newburgh Beach.
Kentucky State Police Trooper Corey King told Nexstar’s WEHT that Teague’s bathing suit has been sent to a lab for testing. King said this lab has new technology that can aid in the investigation.
King said he’s unsure how long the DNA testing process could take.
The only suspect in the case, Marty Dill, took his own life when KSP went to question him.
Teague’s body has not been found, and no arrests have been made.
