Abilene Public Library unveils Beanstack, making reading more accessible & engaging
ABILENE, Texas (KTAB/KRBC) – The Abilene community can take advantage of reading programs through Beanstack, an online and mobile app that encourages literacy and engagement. Users can log their reading, enter drawings, and participate in various challenges throughout the year.
Available programs include:
1,000 Books Before Kindergarten
A literacy initiative for families with children under five who have not yet started kindergarten.
Texas Bluebonnet Award List
A reading challenge for students in grades 3-6, featuring a new list of 20 book titles each school year.
Summer Reading Challenges
A seasonal program running from June to July to encourage reading during the summer months.
