Man arrested for Memphis woman’s shooting death at Jackson hotel

JACKSON, Miss. (WJTV) – Jackson police arrested a man in connection to the shooting death of a Memphis woman at a hotel.

Detective Tommie Brown said Perez Porter, 24, was arrested around 7:00 p.m. on Friday, February 28. He was charged with murder.

Officers responded to Studio 6 off of Interstate 55 on Wednesday, February 26. The victim was identified as Precious Wilson, 22. Investigators said there was no forced entry into the hotel room.
