The restaurant opened in November at 3484 South 25th East in Idaho Falls and customers have fallen in love with the food.

“We felt it would be a really good market for a burger place. There’s not really anything like this here and we felt it would be a really good opportunity to bring the food to Idaho Falls,” says Hayley Smith. She and her parents, Dennis and Cristen Hurst, are the franchise owners.

There’s also “The Farley,” like actor Chris Farley, topped with buffalo chicken strips, lettuce, tomato and blue cheese dressing.

Then there’s the incredibly well-liked “The Duke,” inspired by John Wayne. It includes cheddar cheese, bacon, fry sauce, barbecue sauce and onion rings.

Burly Burger offers chicken sandwiches, salads and serves up battered fries, sweet potato fries, onion rings and garlic cheese curds, melt-in-your-mouth squares that are pretty addictive.

If you’re extremely hungry or want a challenge, “The Brigham,” named after Brigham Young, is the burger for you.

“We challenge somebody to eat 10 patties in a big, tall tower with a serving of fries and a Burly shake,” Smith said. “The myth in Utah is that Brigham Young had 10 wives, all named Patty.”

There’s no time limit to finish The Brigham but if you can complete the enter burger, fries and shake, your name goes on a chalkboard in the restaurant, you get a free T-shirt and your meal is refunded.
