NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) — A woman connected to the abduction and death of a Louisiana girl has been arraigned in Tangipahoa Parish.
Victoria Cox faces charges of accessory after the fact to the murder of Callie Brunett and first-degree murder in the killing of one of Callie’s daughters. Cox is accused of helping her boyfriend, Daniel Callihan, kill 4-year-old Erin Brunett last summer.
Authorities said Callie was found dead by her father in her bedroom after she was reported missing 24 hours earlier. An Amber Alert was issued for the missing girls.
Grand juries in Mississippi and Louisiana indicted Cox and Callihan.
Cox’s Mississippi trial was continued in February due to the ongoing investigation and discovery. A jury trial for Callihan is set for March 10 in New Orleans.
