A long-awaited restroom facility is set to be installed at IH Park, providing much-needed convenience for visitors attending concerts and other events. The new permanent restroom will be located next to the Senior Center and is expected to be ready by mid-April, just in time for spring and summer activities. Temporary restroom facitlies had been used at previous outdoor events at IH Clubhouse.
The prefabricated facility will be designed to match the style of nearby buildings, with a streamlined construction process to minimize disruption. The City Board of Commissioners approved Resolution R-24-2025 to allocate funding for the project as part of the Fiscal Year 2025 IH Park Improvement Fund.
According to city officials, the IH Park Restroom Project includes site preparation, grading, foundation work, and sidewalk improvements to ensure ADA compliance. Additionally, necessary utilities will be installed to support the new facility.
