Man found with child sexual abuse material in Visalia arrested, police say
VISALIA, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) – A registered sex offender was arrested in Visalia Thursday after he was found with child exploitation material, the Visalia Police Department said.

Police say their Youth Services Officers received a tip in November regarding illegal downloads of child sexual abuse material. After a thorough investigation, 57-year-old registered sex offender Ramiro Tapia Jr. was identified as the suspect; according to officers and Megan’s Law

database, he has a history of prior offenses.

Tapia was arrested at his home on Thursday in the 1000 block of S. Crenshaw Street. He was taken into custody under suspicion of possession of obscene material involving minors and violation of sex offender registration laws.
