Garage burns to the ground, damaging 2 Brodhead homes

BRODHEAD, Ky. (FOX 56) — A Friday morning garage fire damaged a pair of homes in Rockcastle County.

According to the Brodhead Fire Department, firefighters were called to the scene around 5 a.m. on Tyree Street, where a detached garage was fully engulfed in flames.

Firefighters said a residential structure and a nearby home also endured smoke and extreme heat damage from the inferno. Images from the scene show the garage was completely destroyed by the fire.

Multiple water lines were used to contain and extinguish the blaze, and no injuries were reported, according to the fire department.

The cause of the fire is not known at this time. Multiple units assisted at the scene.
