Crab Orchard shooting leaves 2 dead, 1 critically injured

CRAB ORCHARD, Ky. (FOX 56) — Two people are dead following a shooting late Thursday night in Lincoln County.

According to Kentucky State Police, around 11:45 p.m., troopers were contacted to assist with an investigation after three people had reportedly been shot at a home on Main Street in Crab Orchard.

At the scene, troopers found that Spencer Baldwin, 30, reportedly shot Dennis Perry, 40, and Heather Baldwin, 30, before shooting himself.

KSP said that Perry sustained life-threatening injuries and was taken to Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center for treatment. Heather was taken to Ephraim McDowell Fort Logan Hospital, where the coroner said she later died from her injuries.

Spencer was declared dead at the scene, according to the Lincoln County Coroner’s Office.

There is no word on Perry’s condition at this time.
